It was great to see returning faces from our very first meetup as well as meet new marketing friends. For our second #GulfCoastHUG meetup, we gathered for a discussion on buyer personas.
SPROUT Content Co-founder Debbie Williams walked us through what a buyer persona is, why we need them to be successful in marketing and how to create one. She discussed new research from Google that shows who we think are searching online for our products and services may be different than the actual researchers. Think millennials!
We also discussed how to set up buyer personas in HubSpot (which is super easy to do) and actually walked through an exercise of creating a buyer persona for one of our attendees. Jeff from SkillQ got a nice piece of HubSpot swag for being our guinea pig!
