The final meetup of 2015 for #GulfCoastHUG was a CliffsNotes version of HubSpot's annual conference #INBOUND. We had several group members attend the conference in Boston in September, and each who was present shared their highlights from the conference.

Andrea Miller from SPROUT Content started with a few images of what it's like to work for HubSpot. Think unlimited access to candy, cereal, beer and soft drinks...

Electronic gadgets...

Workouts...

And nap time in hammocks...

Andrea also presented highlights from several sessions she attended on the topic of paid advertising. The big question that HubSpot co-found Dharmesh Shah proposed during his keynote was "Can paid advertising be inbound-y?" The resounding answer was yes!

If you missed the meetup or need a refresher on what was covered, here's a link to Andrea's presentation.

Molly Bruno of SPROUT Content gave highlights from several presentations on how to make your content compelling. From the neuroscience of why people remember what they do to making your content bigger, braver and bolder, Molly's takeaways were a great guide to content creators to think out of the box.

Here's a link to Molly's slides.

Debbie Williams of SPROUT Content focused on another prevalent theme at #INBOUND15 which is the great divide between marketing and sales teams. She spoke of Marcus Sheridan's session about getting buy in on inbound marketing from everyone in your company and how to do that.

Here's a link to Debbie's slides.

Luke Infinger of Hip Creative gave us a summary of some of his favorite vendors from #INBOUND15, like PandaDoc which is a proposal tool that integrates with HubSpot and Scripted, a freelancing service.

Steven Vance of Hip Creative recapped some fun points from Aziz Ansari's keynote address about his new book Modern Romance and reminded us all of how overloaded we are with technology with a hilarious Vine.

Sound interesting? Start planning for #INBOUND16 now!

Get involved in #GulfCoastHUG next year too. We'd love to hear what you'd like to learn about and whether you would be interested in doing a presentation. Stay tuned for 2016 quarterly meetup dates which will be posted soon!
